For the first time since we have been caching we got our first deleted log. A couple of weeks ago we were in New Mexico and picked up a cache at a rest area. Nice place to let Scooby out and to stretch our legs. I remember to cache very well because I took notes. Got home and logged it but then the next morning we got a log deleted notification. I emailed the owner with the following information. Someone had found it the same day just after us and logged they were the 2ND to find it that day. Was a small pill bottle wrapped in black electrical tape. Bottle was in a scrub grass not to tall. Told them where the scrub grass was close to the back fence. Had a huge red ant bed guarding it. Described the rest area and it's surroundings. Men's on the left and women's on the right. Huge boulders to the left of the restrooms. The WHOLE nine yards of explaining that we had found it. Also asked if I had done something wrong. Nothing yet from the owner. It just weird that I know we found it and got our log deleted. Next year when we head that way I will stop and check on it if it is still active.
Just to know I'm not crazy. You know I'm getting on up there in years.
