Hey all it's been awhile since I have logged on this great site with all my friends. I have finally decided it was time for another caching event here I Big Spring and I am looking forward to be a better host then the last one I held.  I am also glad to say it won't be at the same location as the other one was last year and hopefully not as windy. I have chosen this to be a  one day event and I am looking forward to see whoever is able to make it.  I am just very excited to host another one but I guess I already said that didn't I!
I have chosen a location within the Comanche trail park with a nice pavilion. The pavilions are usually first come first serve but I will check to be sure that maybe we can get it reserved so I won't have to move it at the last moment.
I am planing on having the event on August 7the  starting whatever time y'all decide to show up and planning an  11 am hotdog roast in which I will supply all the food but the drinks. I will have the Ice as well in a nice sterilized ice chest for your drinks The event is already published and ready for any notes or will attends that will be logged for it.

Here is the listing that is on Geocaching.com
GC2AD7V  Big Springs 2nd caching Event

Thanks to everybody that makes this game so great and the WTGA site so great. But it takes great people to do all this so that makes all of y'all great.

Thanks and will be posting more been busy and busy y'all know how that is!

Kent

I have it on my watch list. Not sure if we will be in area yet. Didn't want to post an atttend  and not so up.Sad We will be there if we are in the area. I'm hoping that we WILL be in the area. Haven't done much caching in the Lake area. Just on the interstate. Not really in to the camping thing but a motel sounds great.

I'm keeping an eye on it as well.  I work just down the road a piece in Odessa.  Thing is, the date of the event will fall on my off-week.  I spend my off-weeks about 5 hours away in Killeen.  HOWEVER... if something happens at work and I just happen to be in the area with some time to spare, I'll make my best effort to be there.

The event isn't at the lake this year. I didn't realy like how the lake has been kept up since I was alot younger. The city hasn't kept up with it and I am very disappointed in how it is. I am having this years event at the Comanche trails park and will be a one day event. I have placed the eating at around 11 am so if anybody comes into town and cache first and then come eat.  I figured heck might be nicer that way. The DuncanClan want to host a few games and stuff to add to the event along with a Multi-Cache in the park, I do hope this years is a lot better then last years event.

Kent, I wish that we would be able to attend this year, but we cannot.  As many of you know, events are our favorite part of Geocaching.  I encourage anyone that is new to Geocaching and/or has never been to an event to go.  It is a wonderful way to put faces to the names as well as build new friendships.

Welcome to this great game of caching and for your presence in this great forum ozannaD . I do hope to meet you someday. There are alot of great cachers in this forum like Steve D and his great family and Steve Wilson and his better half.
Events are great fun to attend to put faces with logs and just to hang out and shoot the breeze. I do understand Steve right now I know your busy and with the load your having to carry you have alot to do. So I know you can"t get away.
I haven't been talking much in the forums lately and I do need to get more involved. But I know that the next event that whoever hosts will be great and maybe I will be able to see you and introduce myself ozannaD. I guess I got to get off of here and start getting ready for tomarrow.

I wish I could have made it over there.  Intended to but apparently my alarm clock had other ideas.

My uncle (grumpyoldtexan) said it was alot of fun.
