About Us

So who are we? The West Texas Geocaching Association (WTXGA) is a group of geocachers in and around West Texas.

So what do we do? We cache! We hold events and get together to cache or just hang out. We also have some other projects in the works that will be posted here when things get rolling more over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

  1. My brother {K7ELH} and I {KF6YVD} are both ham radio operators and geocachers. We have just opened a forum based community for those who are both ham operators and geocachers {or are one and interested in the other}. We created this in an attempt to bring these two communities together and help each of them grow. We would greatly appreciate a link on your site for us.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there 🙂

  2. I have a quick question. I am still fairly new to geocaching, but I am slowly getting into it more and more. I am in the El Paso area, are there any events going on around here in the next couple months?

There are none that I’m aware of within’ 50 miles of El Paso, if any go active I will put them on the events page here. The closest events to El Paso I know of are in Midland, there are a few on the 4th of August, a CITO (Cache in Trash Out) event and then a lunch time, then on the 18th I’m having one at my house that should be interesting. All are listed on the events page here.
